Little India has proved to be a popular venue for fundraising groups - the informal, buffet style of the evenings together with the delicious food and the usual friendly service has resulted in capacity attendances, large amounts raised for deserving causes and a good time for everybody involved!

Another well attended charity buffet raised funds for Action Deafness through ticket sales, a large raffle and a hotly contested auction for a rugby ball that had been signed by the Tigers squad.

heartlink logo17/5/10 A full house enjoyed a buffet and quiz night while raising money for Heartlink, the children's heart care charity based at Glenfield and theLucy Carter, Ben & Jayne RobinsonStroke Association.

Organisers Jayne Robinson (right) and Lucy Carter (left), along with Andrew Crookes, Russ Conway and Karen Rae are planning to complete the three peaks walk on 29 May (Snowden, Ben Nevis and Sca Fell) to raise more cash for these charities and also for Brain Tumour UK (Karen).

1/2/10 Fundraising for the Hands of Hope charity (Part 2)
A second event to raise funds for the hospital in Haiti raised another £800. Again orgainsed by Sue Lambert, 66 friends and colleagues from the Leicestershire Police attended.

A magnificent £1,345 was raised to support the hands of hope logoHouse of Hope Hospital in Haiti following the Haiti earthquake. Built for up to 40 children, this hospital which is 40 miles north of Port au Prince currently has around 100 patients and more are arriving all the time.
The event was organised by Sue Lambert (left in the photo) and the 77 diners, mainly from Thorpe Langton village enjoyed a buffet dinner and supported a large raffle. Photo album»

  2/3/09 Fundraising for the Lutterworth Hospital
A well supported buffet and raffle organised by supporters of the Lutterworth Cottage Hospital raised hundreds of pounds.

October 2006, in aid of the Children's Intensive Care Unit at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Tickets were £15 per person for our extensive buffet meal and the whole of the ticket price was donated to the LRI.
Fundraising Dinner in aid of Scott Beanlands
scott at LIScott is 27 years old and lives in Blaby. He suffers from Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and is hoping that a new treatment - stem cell injections will improve his condition. However, Scott needed £13,000 to travel to Holland and get this treatment.
Little India and a lifelong friend of Scotts, Adrian Natzel (a County Councillor for Wigston) hosted a buffet dinner on 6 March. All the proceeds from tickets went to Scott’s fund and an auction raised hundreds more. A raffle brought the total raised on the night to £2,260.

May 2006 The Motor Neurone Disease Association held yet another successful fundraising
night at Little India. A magnificent £1,373 was raised from ticket sales, a contribution from bar takings and an auction and raffle. John and Francine Mattock were once again the orgaisers.

The Leicestershire and Rutland branch of the Motor Neurone disease Association held another successful fundraising night at Little India. £900 was raised from ticket sales and a contribution from bar takings. The evening was organised by John and Francine Mattock and an auction and raffle added to the funds raised.

July 2005 Rainbows Childrens Hospice. The evening was organised by Arnesby locals Penny and Steph and they raised the enormous total of £3,900, including £800 from the restaurant, by also holding an auction.
